Is there anything that the State Department is not surprised about nowadays?

5. Iran stands strong in nuclear issue

7. Taliban re-emerge in Afghanistan
8. Hamas win Palestinian Elections
9. Hizbullah trash Israeli forces in Lebanon

Don't they know what is really happening outside of Washington and Tel Aviv?
